Awkwafina
American actor and musician Awkwafina debuted with sly rap tracks that tackled sexual identity and race with a an incisive and humorous perspective, before increasing her presence in Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese as well as Korean parents from Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was her first instrument. In the following years, she took up the classical and hip-hop genres. At college, she was studying writing and women's studies. Then, she even had a short time studying Mandarin during her time in Beijing. When she graduated, she started to focus on music. The song My Vag, a response track to the Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity on the Internet in the year 2012. It was eventually included in the album debut Yellow Ranger released in 2014. It also contained viral hits such as the body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC Bitche$. The third track was linked to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide that was published in the year 2015, and was an additional project. The singer decided to make acting careers after completing her first two ventures as a musician and author. In addition to early television shows such as Girl Code and Tawk, she has also been featured in movies including Neighbors2Storks and Bad Rap. Her breakthrough came in the year 2018 when she appeared in a number of movies that were highly regarded, such as Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. Then in June, she launched the EP in Fina We Trust.
